don't worry too much about the ufos

beauty's roommate-beside-manner
syncopates our evening stars
as we stand and revel darling
at the near and at the far

(though your song won't reach the heavens,
be comforted in this--
i'm easier to take in
and i'm easier to kiss)

hmmm...I like the rythm and the rythmes, and I love the way the poem somehow makes me savour the words.

Beautiful diction in this one. I particularly liked how the second stanza sounded. The flow of it was really lyrical, in a classic ye-olde-days way.

The only line that continuously trips me up is the first, "beauty's roommate-beside-manner". I think because it's a series of four two syllable words and the stress on the different parts of the words isn't working for me.

Last two lines are great.
