5am Again

The edge of heaven
comes crashing down
the window panes
torn off the homes
the barriers
have been broken through
the bastard sons
the father's truths

The loneliness
the handsome devil
the window panes
torn through the roof
to a brand new world
defined by thought
a price to pay
in essence,
to be sought

Attempting to be a stranger
among a flock of sheep
but when the herd remains monotone
it isn't much of a leap
When the sheppard in rags
seems to be wise and prestigious
he's probably off
doing something "religious"

The God clean shaven
from beard and all
a concept withdrawn
without any proof at all
And so the windows
come crashing down
shattered and reflecting
nothing other
than the edge of heaven.

This was great. The idea is just awesome. The last two stanzas got me good y'alls.

I really like this. I especially like the repetition of 'Window Panes' when referencing to the fact that heaven is crashing down. I just see it as how eyes are the window to the soul and the soul goes into heaven. Or maybe i'm just reading too much into it.
